FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, is once again geared up for the China International import Expo (CIIE). The company will leverage the Expo to demonstrate its strengths and advantages with the theme of “Go Green,” “Go Digital,” and “Efficiency”.
At this year’s CIIE, FedEx will set up a fully open booth in the “Service Trade” section, including different functional spaces to display the company’s key information, promote special shipments and hold interactive games. The booth will have engaging activities, including car racing, projected animations to allow visitors to virtually experience FedEx services, and displays of FedEx achievements, digital innovation and sustainable development. FedEx is also testing an autonomous delivery vehicle in China that will be showcased at the booth.
“FedEx has been a firm advocate and facilitator of global trade,” said Eddy Chan, senior vice president & president FedEx China. “Over the past 40 years in China, we have remained committed to connecting China and the global market using our network, capacity, and technological innovation. This year’s Expo takes place at a time when China is extensively building its new ‘dual circulation’ development model. It is also a time when connectivity and exchange are significant in empowering the recovery of the global economy. We therefore consider CIIE an important platform to further tap into potential business opportunities and hope to show buyers at home and abroad the advantages of our network, innovation, sustainable development and our support of key areas of the economy, including as e-commerce and small- and medium-sized enterprises.”
